Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 07/01/2013Available Shifts: 8! Hour/Day
This is a great opportunity for a CRNA who is looking for immediate work in Southern Indiana. This 200 bed hospital needs a CRNA from July 1st through September 13th. Cases involve bread and butter, orthopedics, and a concentration on OB epidurals. The CRNA will be completely autonomous with no anesthesiologist supervision, and will be joining a team of 8 other CRNAs and 2 MDAs. There is a set call rotation, however a day off always follows the day when the provider is on call. A standard workday runs from 6:30am to 3:00pm.
A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anes! thesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
