Leidos Business Development (BD) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Senior Vice President of BD and Strategy for the Health Group. The selected individual will report to the Executive Vice President, Chief of Business Development to lead and manage a geographically dispersed workforce supporting the mission of the Health Group. The Health Group is nearly a $3B business with over 10,000 employees across the globe. It includes two major operations: Military and Veterans Health Solutions (MVHS) and Civil Health Solutions (CHS); QTC Management, a wholly owned subsidiary; and Leidos Biomedical Research which runs the National Cancer Institute. Its addressable markets include Defense Health Agency, Department of Veterans Affairs, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Social Security Administration, and National Institute of Health.

Primary Responsibilities
This Business Development Executive will lead a team of 40+ BD, Strategy and Capture professionals and is responsible for developing and establishing relationships between the customers, strategic/potential strategic partners and across the entire company. Duties include identifying, developing, and implementing near-term and long-term business strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion for the company. The individual will lead a team that prepares and submits proposals in pursuit of business in the US marketplace. This position requires a deep understanding of the customers across all DoD, VA, and Federal health agencies from both the operations and procurement standpoint. The individual may have other business development activities, such as investigating and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, geographic expansions, licensing, partnerships, joint ventures, new business/market opportunities and sustainability to determine if such activities are in line with the organization's overall strategy and vision. The individual is also responsible for the allocation of apportioned resources between existing and new businesses and continuously monitors the market to keep track of competitor developments and their impact on market share.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or related field)
- 20+ years related experience
- Proven experience in developing and growing a large portfolio >$1B, with positive book-to-bill (>1) and sustained year over year growth
- Expert experience developing and/or executing contract acquisition strategies with federal/health requirements/PM communities and conducting associated procurements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead large and diverse teams while growing and developing people
Pay Range:
Pay Range $255,000.00 - $340,000.00 - $425,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
