This position is responsible to provide and perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists residents in performing anesthetic procedures for patie! nts ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Prefers knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies for ordering and maintaining supply levels; OR PCA experience preferred.
Requires knowledge of equipment set-up and maintenance and the ability to perform minor troubleshooting of equipment.
Prefers knowledge of numerous anesthesiologists' preferences on supplies and equipment.
Requires alertness to anesthesia supply; drug and equipment needs and the ability to maintain adequate inventory to meet the needs and demands of anesthesia staff.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Requires ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
