Department Marketing Statement
Surgery at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital offers the opportunity to participate in the full scope of general surgery with the exception of open heart. The medical surgical team is comprised of many dedicated staff members including a circulator, a scrub nurse/technologist, an anesthesiologist, a team care specialist, nurses and doctors. Associates in our surgery departments are committed to the highest quality surgical care and! service for patients and their family.
Responsibilities
The Certified Surgical technologist (CST) prepares and maintains surgical rooms for cases according to aseptic techniques and the requirements for specific surgical procedures. The CST provides pre-and post-operative patient care and transport and meets various needs of the surgical team. The CST may also precept new CST associates. This position performs its duties and responsibilities in accordance with the St. Vincent mission and core values.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program and LCC certified.
Must have two years CST experience.
